Jeffrey S. McCormick is a Founder and Managing General Partner of Saturn Partners, a venture capital fund that invested predominately in emerging companies and special situation opportunities in healthcare, IT, digital media and consumer product technologies. He is also a General Partner of Saturn Partners II, which will be invested in financial technology software, IT, select biotechnology and special situations. McCormick also founded the Saturn Group in 1993, a team of affiliated companies that specializes in the capitalization of emerging growth companies with direct investments from private investors.

Mr. McCormick heads the investigation of investment opportunities and the structuring of securities offerings for Saturn. Mr. McCormick works with management teams of companies, developing strategic relationships and formulating strategies for product development, marketing and distribution. He has acted or currently acts as member of the board of directors of several Saturn portfolio companies, including FreeMarkets, MooBella, NHXS, Twin Rivers and Knopp Neurosciences.

While in graduate school, Mr. McCormick studied advanced molecular genetics and focused his research on HIV detection techniques. Mr. McCormick holds an MBA in finance and a BS in biology from Syracuse University.
